Academic Advising at the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program is carried out by Deans Veronica Mitchell, Andrew Sunshine, and Ellen Watts. This team of dedicated individuals provides postbaccs with valuable guidance and advice as we map out the steps to our medical careers.
-
Veronica Mitchell <vm2219@columbia.edu>
- (Dean Mitchell's biographical information is coming soon.)
-
Andrew Sunshine <als55@columbia.edu>
- Dean Sunshine was Assistant Dean at Columbia College and SEAS for 8 and 1/2 years before coming over to Lewisohn. At any given time he's usually in the process of reading at least half-a-dozen books. But don't be too impressed, he says, because if he reads a total of 5 pages in a day that's a lot. If you're in his office, check out his print out of the original sketch for the seal of Columbia University.
-
Ellen Watts <emw2104@columbia.edu>
- Before coming to the Postbacc program, Dean Watts was the Director of Admissions and Student Affairs at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. In her time there, she screened over 10,000 applications and interviewed more than 500 people. We'll go out on a limb and recommend that you take any advice she offers.
